Kite in Power Lines
Report a kite caught in power lines immediately by calling:
Kite safety is very important, especially during the annual Good Friday holiday. Employing kite safety measures, not only prevents outages, but also ensure the safety of you and our team. We encourage everyone to remember the following safety guidelines for kite flying:
Do
- ALWAYS use the correct supplies when making a kite.
- ALWAYS keep you kite away from power lines and busy roads.
- ONLY fly your kite in safe places away from overhead power lines, such a beaches, fields and playgrounds.
- ONLY fly your kite on bright sunny days.
- ALWAYS call BELCO at 955 if you kite is caught in a power line.
Don’t
- NEVER use wire or metal to make your kite.
- NEVER pull on the tail or the string, if you kite gets caught on power lines.
- NEVER fly your kite near overhead power lines.
- NEVER fly your kite in bad weather.
