Approximately 90 percent of BELCO's workforce is Bermudian, and many members of staff play an active role in the community. To ensure that BELCO supports a broad spectrum of local organisations, BELCO makes Matching Gifts to Registered Charities supported by members of staff. When an active employee makes a donation to a local, Bermuda Registered Charity, BELCO will match that donation at $0.50 to each $1.00 contributed by the employee, up to $250 per donation; maximum $500 per employee per calendar year.

To qualify for a Matching Gift, the employee must complete a form (downloaded from BELCOcentral intranet site), and proof must be provided of registered charity status and employee contribution amount.
